Question 80

Scenario: A Citrix ADC receives packets destined for a MAC address owned by the Citrix ADC. The destination IP address of the packets does NOT belong to the Citrix ADC. Layer 3 mode is enabled by default on the Citrix ADC.

The Citrix ADC will ___________ the packets in this scenario. (Choose the correct option to complete the sentence.)

    Correct Answer: C

In this scenario, the Citrix ADC will route the packets. When the Citrix ADC is operating in Layer 3 mode and receives packets with a MAC address it owns but an IP address that does not belong to it, it will forward the packets based on the routing table entries. Therefore, the packets will be routed.

steveleek2Option: C

When Layer 3 mode will still route the packets based on route table lookups. Layer 2 would drop the packets. bridging is a layer 2 function but not applicable here and neither is rewrite. My best guess is route.
