I had to do a little bit of research and I came up with this: In the figure, it says 209.165.202.0/27 is subnetted, 1 subnet. This means the classfull address of the original network 209.165.202.0/24 has one subnet with /27 subnet mask. This means that 209.165.202.128 will have /27 SM >>> 255.255.255.240. Also from the figure The classful address 10.0.0.0/8 of the original network is variably subnetted into 8 subnets with 4 different subnet masks (/25,/28,/29./30.) From the figure, we have 8 subnets from the original network 10.0.0.0/8 with 4 different subnet masks.
