Refer to the exhibit. Packets received by the router from BGP enter via a serial interface at 209.165.201.10. Each route is present within the routing table. Which interface is used to forward traffic with a destination IP of 10.10 10 24?

When selecting a route for forwarding traffic, a router prioritizes routes based on administrative distance (AD) and metric. EIGRP and OSPF are two different routing protocols. EIGRP has a lower AD (90) compared to OSPF (110). Among the routes for the 10.10.10.0/24 network listed with the EIGRP protocol, the route with the lowest metric value is chosen. The routes are via F0/10, F0/11, and F0/12 with metric values of 1441, 144, and 1441 respectively. Therefore, the route via F0/11, which has the lowest metric of 144, is used to forward traffic to the 10.10.10.0/24 network.
BEAUTIFUL QUESTION! Better than the Cisco tricky questions that seem made for a SAW movie.
B. Metric is Small.
metric is lower than 1441
Of course B because the router firt choose EIGRP Instead OSPF , then , because all prefix length is equal , router choose to lowest AD
lowest metric is correct
could you please explain how to solve this question in detail please?
Its easy, first find the lowest AD then the lowest metric.
metric looks confuse A & C 1441 B 144
Dear Danaah, When installing to routing table is AD and Metric Only When choosing a route from routing table is Longest Prefix, AD and Metric can play a role Since the question stats based on routing table means now we have to consider 3 factors(longest prefix, AD and Metric) however all are /24 so longest prefix is out of the question. Now comes the tricky part If there are 2 or more routes to the same destination using different protocol is AD If there are 2 or more routes to the same destination using same protocol is Metric In this case example, OSPF route via F0/13 and EIGRP route via F0/11 are viable options however they ask to choose 1 so in the answer sheet is EIGRP route via F0/11 available thus being the answer.
BBBBBBBB
B is correct
is the question helps to pass CCNA exam
EIGPR=90 low AD=144 OSPF=110
144 is metric no AD the AD =90
