In what way is Secure Network Distributor (SND) a relevant feature of the Security Gateway?
Secure Network Distributor (SND) is a component within the CoreXL software architecture that is responsible for distributing packets among the different Firewall instances. It processes incoming traffic from network interfaces and distributes non-accelerated packets for further inspection, ensuring an efficient load balancing and optimized performance of the Security Gateway.
The CoreXL software architecture includes the Secure Network Distributor. The SND is responsible for processing incoming traffic from the network interfaces, securely accelerating authorized packets (if SecureXL is running), and distributing non-accelerated packets among kernel instances. In other words, the SND is essentially a CPU core running both SecureXL and CoreXL.
