156-215.81 Exam - Question 137

URL Filtering cannot be used to:

Show Answer
Correct Answer: B

URL Filtering is primarily used to manage and restrict access to specific websites and content, thus ensuring that employees do not visit harmful or inappropriate sites. This naturally contributes to controlling bandwidth issues, improving organizational security, and decreasing legal liability by preventing access to sites that could lead to legal complications. However, URL Filtering in itself does not directly control data security, which involves protecting data from unauthorized access and breaches. Data security typically requires encryption, secure protocols, and other comprehensive security measures that go beyond just filtering URLs.

I would say that A is WRONG, as URL filtering rules can be used to set bandwidth limits. To create a rule that allows streaming media with time and bandwidth limits: In the Security Policies view of SmartConsole, go to the Access Control Policy. Choose a Layer with Applications and URL Filtering enabled. https://sc1.checkpoint.com/documents/R81/WebAdminGuides/EN/CP_R81_SecurityManagement_AdminGuide/Topics-SECMG/Creating-Application-Control-and-URL-Filtering-Rules.htm URL filtering obviously controls data security by restricting access to malicious URLs, and therefore also imrpoves organizational security. On the basis of elimination, that leaves answer D
