In which scenario is it a valid option to transfer a license from one hardware device to another?
Transferring a license from one IBM Open Server to an HP Open Server is a valid scenario. Licenses are often tied to the type of hardware, and transferring between similar classes of devices, such as open servers, is typically allowed. In contrast, transferring licenses between appliances like the 4400 and 2200 may be restricted due to different hardware specifications and system requirements.
C seems correct, https://community.checkpoint.com/t5/General-Topics/licensing-for-replaced-cluster-member/td-p/10102#:~:text=You%20cannot%20transfer%20a%20license,these%20licenses%20are%20not%20transferable. "You cannot transfer a license from one Check Point appliance to another as these licenses are not transferable."
you cannot transfer a license from one Check Point appliance to another as these licenses are not transferable
C is the correct answer.
Open to open
From Open Server to Open Server it's ok, I would choose C
answer a From a 4400 Appliance to a 2200 Appliance https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk56300
Obviously C
I think the correct answer C is ridiculous as Checkpoint admins are not supposed to know if the license transfer from HP to IBM or any other Open server even if the idea is to highlight the Checkpoint license transfer is not supported unless it's for RMA device.
