Source port ranges and encrypted connections are both known factors that can preclude SecureXL templating. Templating is used to accelerate the processing of certain types of traffic in Check Point Firewalls, and if source ports are dynamic or connections are encrypted, the system cannot accurately use templates, leading to those connections being bypassed by SecureXL. CoreXL enhances multi-core utilization, simple groups do not interfere with templating, and ClusterXL in load sharing mode deals with redundancy and load balancing rather than templating directly.
