Check Point ClusterXL Active/Active deployment is used when:
Check Point ClusterXL Active/Active deployment is used when:
Check Point ClusterXL Active/Active deployment is used when there is a Load Sharing solution set up. In this configuration, multiple cluster members actively handle traffic simultaneously, distributing the load among them.
Active active is Load Sharing and Active /pasive is HA. So it should be B
Right it is B https://dl3.checkpoint.com/paid/f7/f70dd2f8bd9ae45ffa4d4cc7949417bd/CP_R80.20_ClusterXL_AdminGuide.pdf?HashKey=1575757569_5e1ec5aa8667f25c79188bbd5981478a&xtn=.pdf
Agreed B is correct
The correct Answer should be B. Active/Active is for load sharing Deployment
Active/Active on HA solution is called split-brain issue :D B is correct.
for R80.10-R80.30 - There is Load Sharing solution set up for R80.40 and higher - There is High Availability solution set up Important: You can configure the Active-Active mode only on Management Server R80.40 (and higher) and only on ClusterXL R80.40 (and higher). The Active-Active mode does not provide Load Sharing of the traffic. https://dl3.checkpoint.com/paid/f4/f4d6990356a601e316392367a146db5e/CP_R80.40_ClusterXL_AdminGuide.pdf?HashKey=1651239950_f1806be808da1c9d339d81fabcccc6c1&xtn=.pdf https://sc1.checkpoint.com/documents/R81/WebAdminGuides/EN/CP_R81_ClusterXL_AdminGuide/Topics-CXLG/Active-Active-Mode.htm in R80.10 only about loadsharing https://dl3.checkpoint.com/paid/1a/1acadca72d98286f05d71f205568c347/CP_R80.10_ClusterXL_AdminGuide.pdf?HashKey=1651240349_0209b4bbc27c3d92b6b3bf7d3430456d&xtn=.pdf
one more thing: in smartconsole R80.40 (build 994000430) you can find HA, Load sharing and Active/Active mode, which is why this answer is not quite relevant and it is more correct to replace it with Active/Active
B is correct
Load Sharing is Active/Active as others have said. Active/Standby is High Availability. https://sc1.checkpoint.com/documents/R80.30/WebAdminGuides/EN/CP_R80.30_ClusterXL_AdminGuide/html_frameset.htm
Answer B seems Correct : However one of the problems of LoadSharing set up is multicast packets that sometimes are not well handled by routers (IGMP as example). So you have to have a solution for these packets ! the keyword "only" invalidate the option A since there is loadsharing unicast ! So Answer B is more correct
I think B is right, if not, which is the mode to load sharing solution? Only active-active can share the traffic.
https://sc1.checkpoint.com/documents/R81/WebAdminGuides/EN/CP_R81_ClusterXL_AdminGuide/Topics-CXLG/Active-Active-Mode.htm Important: - You can configure the Active-Active mode only on Management Server R80.40 (and higher) and only on ClusterXL R80.40 (and higher). - The Active-Active mode does not provide Load SharingClosed of the traffic. - Administrator must monitor the load on each Cluster Member (see Monitoring and Troubleshooting Clusters). - Cluster Control Protocol (CCP) Encryption must be enabled, which is the default (see Configuring the Cluster Control Protocol (CCP) Settings). - It is possible to configure the Cluster Control Protocol (CCP) to work on Layer 2. - It is possible to enable Dynamic Routing on each Cluster Member , so they become routers in the applicable Area or Autonomous System on the site. - In this case, you must enable the Bidirectional Forwarding Detection (BFD - ip-reachability-detection) on each interface that is configured for dynamic routing.
B. Not sure why its showing A.
Agreed B is correct, Active/Active for load sharing
B is the correct answer, please fix it
B is the correct answer, please fix it.
B is correct
B is absolutely the answer
