What is the default tracking option of a rule?
What is the default tracking option of a rule?
The default tracking option for a newly created rule in Check Point security policies is None. When you do not specify a tracking option while creating a new rule, it defaults to None. This can be verified through official documentation and practical use of the SmartConsole, where the initial default state is None unless explicitly changed.
Default Tracking is None
The right one is A, just checked in Smartconsole R81.20
Which one it is then lol? Checkpoint site says it is C but I work with Checkpoint on a daily basis and I know it is A (none)
Default is None according to the R81.20 training material (page 378). Confirmed using lab environment.
Cmnon Guys . If you create a new rule in security policies and you do not define a track action the default is clearly None . So the correct action is A
i did a new rule at smart console and correct is none. A
Page 378 of the Check Point Certified Security Administrator R81.20 Track: The default None
C is the correct answer. "Log -This is the default Track option. It shows all the information that the Security Gateway used to match the connection."
A - None. If you create a new rule, the default track is NONE
Correct is A, the default track when creating a freshly new policy is NONE Then if wanted to add tracking it does switch to logging and logging+accounting if specified. It is a bit misleading and depending on the POV could be both
The question is the default tracking option, not the default rule tracking. When you enable tracking on a rule, the default option is Log. Per https://sc1.checkpoint.com/documents/R81/WebAdminGuides/EN/CP_R81_LoggingAndMonitoring_AdminGuide/Topics-LMG/Tracking-Options.htm Log is the default tracking option.
It's C as per: https://sc1.checkpoint.com/documents/R80.20_GA/WebAdminGuides/EN/CP_R80.20_LoggingAndMonitoring_AdminGuide/html_frameset.htm?topic=documents/R80.20_GA/WebAdminGuides/EN/CP_R80.20_LoggingAndMonitoring_AdminGuide/121059 Log - This is the default Track option. It shows all the information that the Security Gateway used to match the connection. At a minimum, this is the Source, Destination, Source Port, and Destination Port. If there is a match on a rule that specifies an application, a session log shows the application name (for example, Dropbox). If there is a match on a rule that specifies a Data Type, the session log shows information about the files, and the contents of the files.
It's none according to Checkpoint R81.20 study guide Page 378 https://read.kortext.com/reader/pdf/2342938/378
C is the correct.

copy a statement from document "CP_R81.20_Quantum_SecurityManagement_AdminGuide, page 266" Log -This is the default Track option. It shows all the information that the Security Gateway used to match the connection Answer: A
Sorry, type mistake, Correct Answer is C
None - This option is the default and it does not generate a log
Answer A - Tested in a lab
Answer: C Log is the correct answer. Also checked with the checkpoint Practice exam
81.20 now have default role log. So C is correct
Sorry, i did a new rule at smart console and correct is none. A.
It is a bit of a trick question...the default tracking "option" is Log.
81.20 now have default role log. So C is correct
From version 80 onwards, it became log.Of course, when coming from an upgrade, this option is suppressed, which can lead to misunderstanding. Therefore, the option is C. https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk116580
The default tracking option of a firewall rule in Check Point is: C. Log This option shows all the information that the Security Gateway used to match the connection, including the Source, Destination, Source Port, and Destination Port.
Trick question... The default tracking "option" is Log, it is the default option on log field
A es la correcta.
Tracking Options Select these options in the Track column of a ruleClosed: None - Do not generate a log. Log -This is the default Track option. It shows all the information that the Security GatewayClosed used to match the connection. At a minimum, this is the Source, Destination, Source Port, and Destination Port. If there is a match on a rule that specifies an application, a session log shows the application name (for example, Dropbox). If there is a match on a rule that specifies a Data TypeClosed, the session log shows information about the files, and the contents of the files. Accounting - Select this to update the log at 10 minutes intervals, to show how much data has passed in the connection: Upload bytes, Download bytes, and browse time.
What is right? kkkkk - R81.20 Logging and Monitoring Administration Guide: . None - Do not generate a log. This is the default option. <<<<<++++++++ - CP_R81.20_Quantum_SecurityManagement_AdminGuide.pdf . Log - This is the default Track option. It shows all the information that the Security Gateway used to match the connection. <<<<+++++++
R81.20 Manual suggests default is None
Recently took practice exam thinking it was A as CP manual suggested it was None however practice exam stated C was the correct answer.
