Question 15

Which of the following are examples of a Business Exception?

1. A Business Requirement states that Blue Prism should not work on any accounts with a balance greater than £1,000,000. Blue Prism has successfully read the balance field and it has returned a value of £1,100,000.

2. Blue Prism has detected an unexpected pop up

3. A Blue Prism wait stage has timed out waiting for a Web page to load

4. The data input to the process has been validated and failed

    Correct Answer: C

A Business Exception refers to a scenario where the process encounters data or conditions that are not in compliance with business rules. In this case, the first example (accounts with a balance greater than £1,000,000) is a clear business rule, and encountering a balance of £1,100,000 would be a Business Exception. Similarly, if the data input to the process has been validated and failed, it indicates that the business condition regarding the input data has not been met, thus also constituting a Business Exception. The other options (unexpected popup and wait stage timing out) are more aligned with system exceptions rather than business exceptions.

KarolAndrzejOption: D

D. is the anwser as it says "greater than 1mln". The value is exactly 1 000 000 so we can still work it. So we cannot go for C. as this mentions both 1 and 4 ?

qazxswedcxz

Not actually, there is 1 100 000 and it's 100 000 more

KarolAndrzej

Right! I somehow had even 1 000 000. Then I am choosing C. no better alternatives

Jacques_Benoit

4 can be good: if the value is Ok but fail it's a technical exception
