Question 16

When a customer calls voicemail to retrieve their messages they hear "Hello, to access your mailbox…" instead of the users named followed by "please enter your password…".

After troubleshooting you discover that the Caller ID is not being sent correctly, therefore Avaya Aura Messaging (AAM) is not able to identify the correct mailbox associated with the station number calling into AAM.

How can this problem be fixed?

    Correct Answer: C

When a customer retrieves their voicemail and the system cannot identify the correct mailbox due to an incorrect Caller ID being sent, it is necessary to adjust the Caller ID so that Avaya Aura Messaging (AAM) can properly associate the call with the correct mailbox. Configuring a DigitConversionAdapter in Session Manager with fromto=true updates both the Form header and the P-asserted-identity, ensuring that the correct Caller ID information is sent to the AAM SIP Entity. This solution directly addresses the issue of incorrect CLID being sent and allows AAM to correctly identify the mailbox associated with the incoming call.

Discussion
YiannisMOption: C

Well it's a tricky question. Depending on the configuration, if there is a direct SIP trunk between CM and AAM, then D might be the correct answer but according to implementation theory if this is the deployment method then private numbering should be used (not public). In case the implementation method is via SM then I suppose C is the correct answer since an adaptation is needed in order to change the CLID. To my opinion C is the correct answer.

walleyOption: A

I would suggest A as I have AAM installed in the lab and did not have to make that modification in Session Manager.
