Which of the following Tap Aggregation command sessions are correct?
A.
B.
C.
D.
The correct answer is B. When configuring Tap Aggregation on Arista switches, the specific commands require setting the switchport mode to either 'tap' or 'tool.' In option B, the commands used are 'switchport tap default group Group-1' for a tap aggregation and 'switchport tool group set Group-1' for a tool aggregation, which aligns with the correct syntax. This configuration ensures that the interfaces are correctly set for tap and tool functions and will operate as intended within the specified groups.
Correct is B
B,don not have switchport mode tap, switchport mode tool
Correct is B
To add to this on why B is correct. I wanted to double check one more thing. When configuring a tap or tool port, you have to enable "switchport mode "tap/tool" when doing this after entering one of the other, there is no more avaialble commands you get the <cr> when entering switchport mode tool ?.. So A is definitely not correct.
B is correct, if it is assumed these ports have been enabled for tap and tool mode using switchport mode tap/tool command. This is a requirement. To double check this, I verified my span switch configuration and all tap and tool ports have switchport mode tap/tool entered.
