Two IS-IS L1/L2 routers are in the same area on the same Ethernet segment. One of the routers is the DIS. How many adjacencies will be formed between them?
When two IS-IS L1/L2 routers are on the same Ethernet segment and one of them is the DIS (Designated Intermediate System), each router will form a separate adjacency with the DIS for each level. Since both routers are L1/L2 and they need to communicate at both levels, two adjacencies will be formed: one for Level-1 and one for Level-2.
The designated router reduces the number of adjacencies required because each router forms an adjacency only with the DIS router. That gives 2 adjacencies. One for L1 and another one for L2.

We have DIS so interface type is broadcast. I broadcast interface we have to separate LSP: L1 and L2
