What acts as the tie breaker on an Alcatel-Lucent 7750 SR if the priorities are the same when IS-IS is electing a DIS?
When Integrated IS-IS elects a Designated Intermediate System (DIS) and there is a tie in priorities, the tie breaker is the system ID. The system ID acts as a unique identifier for each router in the network. Hence, if two routers have the same priority, the one with the higher system ID will be chosen as the DIS.
I think this question don't have true answer. The tie break is Higer Mac Address Interface.
