I am surprised you all missed this requirement 'Ensures that content remains available for writes if a primary data center fails'. RA-GRS and RAGZRS provide read access only after failover. What about the highest level of data resiliency that cant be in ZRS .... answer is RA-GZRS

You can still write data to second region if first one fails. RA only allows you to read data in second region even if the first does not fail.

using your link find this "If the primary region becomes unavailable, you can choose to fail over to the secondary region. After the failover has completed, the secondary region becomes the primary region, and you can again read and write data. " So, the answer is right, but it's a pity, not yours.

GZRS Because it mentioned that when a data center failed, not the entire region. When a data centre failed, with ZRS, we can still read and write to the other two datacentres in the same region. So for the primary region, it must be ZRS. We still need a backup for the secondary region because it reqiures the highest degree of data resiliency. Customer Managed Failover, No Doubt!!!
